The Black Brunches at the tippy-top are paying off. ![]() If scrolling through this year’s Pazz & Jop rankings tells us anything, it’s that the collapsing of technological, aesthetic, and networking barriers between the music industry and Hollywood resulted in a celebration of seamless branding. On its face, it seems they’ve been getting into each other. It’s hard to hate on what the mainstreamiest skinfolk were diggin’ into in 2018.
